Country-level usage statistics

This notice explains MaxiMUN’s country-level account usage statistics. It is not a description of every type of operational data handled by the service.

What we collect and why

When you use MaxiMUN while signed in with a visible browser page, we sample your account’s activity and approximate country or region of access. This helps the administrator understand where the service is being used. Anonymous visitors are not included.

Country only, not precise location

Cloudflare derives the country from the network connection’s IP address. For this feature, MaxiMUN stores only the account identifier, country code (or Unknown), and latest sampled activity time. It does not store a full IP address, request GPS access, or record a city or precise coordinates. This does not mean that hosting providers or other security logs never process network information.

How counting and retention work

Each account is counted once in the rolling 30-day report, assigned to its latest sampled country. Samples update at most once every 15 minutes; we keep one current record per account, not a location history. Records older than 30 days are excluded immediately from reports and removed by the routine cleanup process. We do not reconstruct historical locations.

Who can see it

The country totals and percentages are restricted to the site administrator. They are not public and are not used for advertising. VPNs, proxies and unavailable location information can affect accuracy; a country of access does not establish nationality or residence.
